General Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, has at last beaten the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan in the presidential poll outcome in Benue state.
Buhari received a clear victory with over 70,000 extra votes after the long-awaited results for Makurdi, the state capital, came in around 2am on Tuesday, March 31.
The APC presidential candidate scored 38,685 votes in Makurdi to bring his overall total votes in the 23 local government areas of the state to 373,961.

The Cincinnati Zoo, where Harambe the gorilla was shot dead earlier this year after a child fell into his enclosure, is “not amused” by the many memes of the massive animal circulating online.
Harambe, a 17-year-old western lowland gorilla, was killed in May to save a 3-year-old boy who officials say was being grabbed and dragged around by the gorilla after the child crawled through a barrier and fell into the animal’s exhibit.
