Nairobi Muslim admission

Nairobi Muslim Academy has nursery, primary and secondary sections. Below is a list of the admission details and requirements:

Primary

At the primary level, the school teaches both Islamic and secular studies. Admission is done at the start of every term. For the admission, an interview examination is carried out and it is done during the holidays after schools are closed. The following are the requirements for the interview and admission.

Interview requirements

• An interview fee of Kshs 1,000 which is non-refundable
• A copy of the pupil’s birth certificate
• A letter of transfer from the prior institution
• A copy(s) of ID or Passport of guardian/parent(s)
• A copy of report forms for two terms

Admission requirements

• The first requirement is to pass the interview
• Parents are required to fill out the application form
• Pay the school fees on the reporting date
• Have the full school uniform and the games kit
• Have all textbooks and stationery required

Secondary

To gain admission into secondary school, the student must have attained 320 marks in the KCPE. For students that come from Northern Kenya or some parts of the Coast, the KCPE cut-off marks were reduced to 300 marks based on affirmative action. Before being admitted, the school will carry out a preliminary examination for the interviewee(s) to ensure they meet the school criteria. The following documents will be required before the interview is carried out:

• A filled out an application form
• A medical certificate that has been signed a qualified doctor
• The original and copy of the KCPE results slip
• The original school leaving certificate and a copy of the same
• Two passport size photographs

Nairobi Muslim academy fees structure

Here is the fee structure for the nursery, primary, and secondary sections;

Nursery

Each pupil is required to pay the following per term:

• Baby class: Kshs 30,000 per term
• KG2 – KG3: Kshs 32,000 per term
• Pre- unit: Kshs 35,000 per term
• Admission Fee: Kshs 3,000 once a year
• Report/Diary/Exercise book: Kshs 1,000 once a year

Primary

The fees for the primary section is as follows;

• Standard 1 – 2: Kshs 35,000
• Standard 3 – 4: Kshs 37,000
• Standard 5 – 6: Kshs 40,000
• Standard 7 – 8: Kshs 45,000
• Admission fee: Kshs 5000 once a year
• Diary/ Report/Exercise book: Kshs 1000 once a year
